Downtown Belmont is a classic downtown scene complete with dining, retail, bars and plenty of entertainment. Here’s a list of our favorites!

Muddy River Distillery –At Muddy River Distillery, they make the best rum you’ve ever tasted by using premium ingredients, handcrafted recipes, and custom built stills.

Catawba River Antique Mall – Come visit this HUGE antique mall, you will be glad you did. They have over 300 great booths full of merchandise for you to look through in their 67,000 square foot building that also houses two wedding venues. 

Goat Island Park & Greenway – The Goat Island Greenway is a paved surface trail that utilizes two pedestrian bridges that cross the South Fork River onto Goat Island Park.

Nellie’s Southern Kitchen –  To enjoy the town’s old time appeal, order a plate of biscuits and a side of banana pudding. Nellie’s Southern Kitchen is a cocktails and comfort food venture started by the Jonas Brothers’ father, Kevin Jonas Sr.

The Jailhouse Sprits & Lounge – A unique bar and cigar lounge experience within the cells of downtown Belmont, NC’s former jail.

US National White Water Center – Take a quick drive to the world’s premier outdoor center featuring 1,300 acres to run, paddle, ride, climb and more located in Charlotte. 

Jekyll & Hyde Tap House and Grill – Welcome to the world of Jekyll & Hyde. A unique dining experience with chef tailored selections inspired by traditional English, Irish and American cuisines. Take a walk through Charlotte’s only Steampunk gastropub and brewery where you will find a large selection of freshly brewed beers, wine for any palate and signature craft cocktails.

Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden – The Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden is well-worth a visit. Checking out the impressive gardens is a must-visit for plant experts and casual visitors alike. If you prefer hiking,  head to Seven Oaks Preserve Trail, a nice natural trail located near Lake Wylie.
