Steele Creek | Charlotte, NC
Over the last decade or so, Charlotte has seen many of its neighborhoods transformed with high end energy including NoDa, South End, Plaza Midwood and now, Steele Creek!
With developers and Charlotteans alike sensing its potential, this community has been deemed Queen City’s next hot thing for a while now. This sleepy little suburb of the city has recently turned into one of the most sought after neighborhoods in town.
Steele Creek has been considered one of the last “frontiers” for Charlotte NC growth. We believe that we can expect a ton of growth in this area in the coming years.

1. History
It’s believed that the name “Steele” came from the original immigrants in the area back in the 17th and 18th centuries. It was a Scotch-Irish family surname which was then also given to the small creek. Eventually, the area became the Steele Creek Township, one of the original 15 in Mecklenburg County.
Growth of Steele Creek really started to take off in the mid 2000’s with the industrial total Siemens expanding into the area. Other businesses like Microsoft and Spectrum quickly followed suit.
There used to be nothing really to do in Steele Creek, however, that’s rapidly changing. Now, when you call Steele Creek home, you have a great proximity to entertainment, shopping, restaurants, and some great communities. We feel this is just the beginning, we expect a ton of growth over the next few decades.
