1. History:

For a curious mind, the name Indian Trail sparks an adventurous imagination of the town’s history. Was Indian Trail a secrete route the native Americans used? Was it a hiking trail that was used by the young Native Americans during the coming of age ceremony? Well, as it turns out, the name Indian Trail comes from the city’s history as a trade route that connected Petersburg, Virginia to the Waxhaw W. American Settlement.

The first set of English and European settlers began to move to the area in 1705. Almost 2 centuries later, in 1861 the Indian Trail town was incorporated. Today Indian Trail is a highly sought and one of the fastest growing communities in the Charlotte North Carolina area.
