1. NASCAR Hall of Fame

It is engaging even if you are not a hardcore race fan, and it anchors a five-acre site that includes a theater and a broadcast studio. General admission runs around $27 for adults.
2. Discovery Place Science

Discovery Place Science has been a Uptown fixture for more than 75 years, with three floors of hands-on exhibits, live experiments, an in-house rainforest, and a large-format IMAX dome theater.
It is a favorite for families and a great rainy-day or hot-afternoon stop. The museum even hosts adults-only evenings with higher-level science and pop-culture themes.
3. Romare Bearden Park

Named for the celebrated Charlotte-born artist, Romare Bearden Park is a 5.4-acre green space with gardens, fountains, sculptures, and some of the best skyline views in the city. It sits right across from Truist Field.

4. The Market at 7th Street

It is the easiest way to eat like a local in Uptown, and it sits right by a light rail station and First Ward Park, so you can roll a meal into a walk through the neighborhood.
5. Spectrum Center and Uptown Sports

Spectrum Center is the home of the NBA's Charlotte Hornets and the city's largest indoor concert venue, hosting major touring acts throughout the year. It is one of several pro sports venues packed into Uptown.
