The Point

Nantucket-Style Golf and Lakefront Living on Lake Norman

The Point is one of Lake Norman's signature golf and waterfront addresses, a Nantucket-inspired luxury community tucked onto a peninsula in southwest Mooresville. Its streets carry New England village names, its homes sit on generous lots (most at least three-quarters of an acre), and the whole neighborhood wraps around Trump National Golf Club Charlotte, an 18-hole championship course designed by Greg Norman that sits at the community's center.

Every owner in The Point is at least a social member of the club, so the clubhouse pool, tennis and pickleball courts, fitness center, spa, and on-site dining are part of daily life here, not an extra errand. Add six walking trails, a village green for community gatherings, and shoreline lots with deeded boat slips on Lake Norman, and it's easy to see why custom builders like Simonini, Arthur Rutenberg, and Lake Norman Signature Homes have built some of their showcase homes inside The Point's gates.

HOA & Community Amenities

The Point Owners Association (POA) is a mandatory HOA covering the whole community, run by a volunteer board of owners with day-to-day management currently handled by Premier Management Co. (the community's own HOA site lists Premier as of 2026, though some older listings still reference a prior manager, Hawthorne Management, so confirm current management when you buy). Reported annual dues run in the neighborhood of $1,255 to $1,355, with some sections carrying added charges for boat slips or septic inspections, and dues cover the neighborhood's clubhouse pool, tennis and pickleball courts, fitness center, playground, walking trails, and common-area landscaping.

Separate from the mandatory POA, golf and full club access at Trump National Golf Club Charlotte is its own membership with its own cost (recent reporting put a golf membership at roughly a $60,000 initiation plus $550 a month), though every owner in The Point is automatically at least a social member with access to dining, the Tavern, and the General Store. Confirm current dues, club membership tiers, and what's included before making decisions.
